Everyday miracles Imagine how wondrous it would be, if we could only see, We're not apart from this world, everything is linked - a global, living entity, Engaged in exploiting the earth, extracting only so we can earn, We miss nature's intelligent patterns, everywhere we turn, Its blueprint ever-present, across the spectrum, From the microscopic, to the macrocosm, From electrons circling a nucleus, made of protons and neutrons, To the far reaches of the cosmos, where planets orbit suns, A mighty tree, not yet manifested, within a small seed, From the soil below, how does it know, to take the nutrients it would need, How animals that traverse the air and sea, no matter how far they may roam, By sheer instinct, better than any compass, always find their way back home, All the world is one family, we're bound to one another's fate, So we should live in harmony with nature, before it's too late, It's a precious gift to be alive, for earth's bounty, we should be grateful, Divine origin or cosmic accident, life is still a miracle. - Amit Singh
