Undoubtedly, that was a more exaggerated version of this tale! Talking about TV shows, lets move on to movies now. Amol Palekar’s ‘Paheli’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherji and Amitabh Bachchan is based on a Rajasthani folktale. In this movie, Shah Rukh has a double role, one of which is actually a ghost in disguise of Lachchi’s (played by Rani Mukherji) husband. However, how much truth lies in the story is still vague. And just for your information, this movie also stars Naseeruddin Shah! Moving further to the lesser-known creepy places in Rajasthan, there’s a place in Jodhpur where a woman clad in white saree is believed to appear in front of vehicles, leading to accidents and deaths.
