The Ultimate Test Of Truth
What of love, that has not, before; been said Emotions pinnacle; to which, we rise Cruel knife; has many a heart; then bled Does grip the throat; squeeze water from the eyes
That love, may eat us up; devour our souls Be that torturers rack; that breaks our minds Drag our weary feet; over white hot coals A stake of agony; its fire blinds
That zenith, of our lifetimes; work and dreams So all might take respite from nature ' s strife A never ending test; or so it seems It takes a heart, mind, soul; though not a life
We ' ll meet its challenge; to the bitter end Love is a staff; that ' s true, it shall not bend
