Life is a War

This life is a war. A beautiful war. a war worth fighting for. 3 words that can make you feel good and happy. " I love you " " You are beautiful " " You are amazing " And so many 3 beautiful words that can make you happy and know your worth. 3 words can also turn your whole life upside down in just five minutes. " You have cancer." The only thought that strikes our mind when the word cancer is said is death. I have cancer and I am still fighting for my life. Every second of it, the minute my eyelids opens when the sun says hello to the world meaning that a new day has begun. Here ' s the thing about having cancer. Truth is if you are sick and need hospital treatments you ' ll have to stay there and they ' ll give you a bed but wont let you sleep. Cancer. Waking up to the poking and prodding that comes with being a sick person. The nausea. The hair loss. People say, it ' s just hair it ' ll grow back and I am completely aware of that but if you have chunks of hair falling on your clothes, while you eat. Waking up in the morning with hair all spread on the bed like confetti. That could be really harsh and unfair. It truly is, but like my favourite author john green said, the world is not a wish granting factory. Which is true because you can ' t always get what you want. Dear people, Here ' s my story. A cancer story is not something you can tell in an hour or a day or a year because I can ' t even explain it to myself at times. It ' s unexplainable.
