Gala Christmas Times
It ' s the most beautiful time of the year. No, I am not talking particularly about Christmas. You thought I was, didn ' t you? Well, I am talking about any time of the year for that matter, which makes you feel good, which allows you to think you are beautiful in your skin, and which does not let you down by any sort of discrimination. Back in the time, when i was a dreamy young girl, I ' d always think Santa is the wishgranter. He is the amazon. in in real life, except you place an order in a sock, hang it outside your door and on Christmas day you find your wish granted! I ' d do that every single year. But being a little brown girl, things were a little different for me. I got up only to stare at an empty sock, disheartened. One fine day, angry because of the empty sock and after a true patience test, I finally asked my father,“ Why is it that Santa never gets me a present?” My father simply smiled at me and shrugged. He said,“ Santa is no one but the children ' s parents who buy them all the presents. There is no Santa. And as far as your presents are concerned, we follow Hindu religion. You can put forward as many wishes as you want on Diwali. We’ ll buy you everything.” That day was the day, I finally broke out my reverie, my world of fantasy and fairy tales and everything having a happy side. There is something considerably dark about happy festivals. Religions. They unite us and they break us. They make us happy and at the same time sad. Stop the discrimination, my lovely folks! It ' s not good for us, our society, no one. All it brings is sadness. Spread happiness, preach happiness.
