Animal Services Center

The Arlington Animal Services Center broke ground on May 18 , 2007 and officially opened in January 2009 , The shelter was made possible through funding approved by Arlington voters in a 2003 bond election as well as individual contributions which totaled more than $ 300,000 . Since January 2009 , more than 68,000 animals have been adopted or transferred from Animal Services to one of many adoption placement partners . The following page features pictures from the groundbreaking ceremony , animal transfer day and grand opening !
Our goal is to encourage responsible pet ownership by offering programs , field enforcement services and educational programs for Arlington residents .
In addition to housing adoptable animals available for anyone over the age of 18 to adopt , we provide services to Arlington residents for the following : Lost animals Animal bites Nuisances ( barking , odor ) Loose livestock
Animal Cruelty Injured Animals Deceased animal pickup
