HOLIDAY CLOSURES
November 24 & 25- CLOSED in observance of Thanksgiving The shelter will open for normal operations on Saturday , November 26 .
December 24 & 26- CLOSED in observance of Christmas The shelter will open for normal operations on Tuesday , December 27 .
ADOPT A SENIOR PET MONTH

ANIMAL SHELTER APPRECIATION SPOTLIGHT !

November 6-12 is recognized as National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week . A week which recognizes the shelters who provide care to homeless animals , bridging the gap to adoption for those abandoned and lost animals . The week also gives spotlight to the employees . The hardworking people who support the efforts of the shelter and who work tirelessly to keep pets healthy and happy while in their care . There ' s a lot more to our shelter , and Arlington Animal Services than just adoptable cats and dogs . However , that is the constant in our ever changing world of animal services . There is always another pet in need . So before we get to more information , be sure to check out those adoptable pets ! November celebrates National Adopt a Senior Pet Month which reminds people of the older pets in shelters waiting to be adopted . Senior pets are often calmer and easier to handle , but there is no doubt they are just as loyal and loving as the young pets . Senior pets are VIPs at Arlington Animal Services and have a reduced adoption fee ! Click here to view the list of available pets waiting for adoption !
PAWS AT THE PARKS HOWLIDAY EVENT
