AAS is excited to share for the first time ever , our Live Release Rate for the month of January was 95 %! Each month , our team strives to not put our focus on any number , but the big picture itself .
Our mission at Arlington Animal Services is by working together as a community we will improve the lives of animals . We focus our efforts to help every animal we can that comes into our care . January 2021 was our highest Live Release Rate since the shelter started tracking data in the early 2000 ' s . We thank the dedication of a team of people working together . Staff , adopters , volunteers , rescue partners , and fosters all play a vital role in successful operations at Arlington Animal Services . We also have to thank our partners at Best Friends Animal Society , Maddie ' s Fund and Petco for allowing us to participate in mentorship programs and other opportunities which aid in helping us reach our goals of building a better environment for not only our shelter animals , but the community and the citizens we serve .
