As an editor, Issue Five has been a delight to piece together, because it happened almost of its own accord. These three short stories, each wonderful on their own, play to that theme of dark, of secrets. Each story turns preconceived notions on their heads. Our art, by the gifted Hilary K., is comprised of dramatic paintings thick with color and unexpected subjects. I’ve never had less work as an editor—this issue built itself.
That said, beware these next few pages. There be monsters here.
