Fashion & Pageants 1 Miss Global International to be held in Nigeria in September. This year’s edition is billed to be a success as it hosts gorgeous Miss Germany 2012, Martina Ivezaj,” said a statement from the organisers who have the right to run The Parade’s Miss Global under the franchise of Miss Global International based in Jamaica. It has a tourism, charitable and developmental aspect to it. The first officially crowned Miss Global Zimbabwe, Mutsa Mutare, travelled to Jamaica for the world finals where she made it into the top 15 out of 50 other contestants from the world over. The Pageant has taken an oath to play the role of ‘superman’ with the aid of stakeholders in national crisis and emergency. For instance, last year the pageant launched a campaign to support and relieve the 37 Chibi families who had lost their homes and property to a hail storm. This year, the 20 finalists are expected to embark on social responsibility projects which cover several topical social concerns of the day such as the environment, rehabilitation of community parks, child-headed families, soup kitchens ,tree planting, tourism, career guidance, reproductive health care, adoption of children’s homes and old people’s homes and gender equality.
