I’m not going to lie, Mexico was never really on my to do list. If you had asked me six
months before where my next paddling trip was going to be I would definitely have
said the Zambezi. However, a chance text message from a friend and a
boyfriend refusing to grapple with crocodiles meant that the invite
was accepted. So in November 2014 Tim and Amie Burne, Mark
“Skiz” Skirrow and myself headed off to Heathrow.
We had booked flights with a vague plan to spend two weeks travelling
around the states of San Luis Potosi and Veracruz.
Mexico is a really varied paddler friendly country. Yes, there is gnarl but
there is also something for everyone.
