C Monsta Mini Split Bag www. c-monsta. com By Jo Moseley @ jomoseley

As a sailor and sub-aqua diver, one of my Dad’ s favourite phrases has always been,“ A tidy ship is a safe ship.” As a paddler, I have definitely taken this on board. Keeping our kit organised saves time when we want to get on the water and makes it easier to transport and clean afterwards. It is even better when the bag you use is made from recycled plastic fabric and comes in recycled packaging.
I have long admired the C Monsta brand, founded by seasoned cold-water surfer Mark Yeadon. My favourite piece is the C Monsta recycled hanger, which is perfect for drying wetsuits, boots, and gloves, keeping them looking good and lasting longer.
I also have the changing mat, which is excellent for SUP – especially useful when protecting the inbuilt socks of drysuit pants – and cold-water swimming.
I was therefore keen to review the 30-litre mini split bag – the latest C Monsta product. This is a smaller version of their successful split bag made from the same recycled plastic fabric. It is excellent for smaller bits of kit or non-paddling days, picnics and beach
clothes. The two compartments are fantastic for keeping wet and dry things separate – no need for extra plastic bags for swimsuits, boots, and gloves! Each compartment has a double waterproof pocket. I like the attention to detail with one orange and one black to differentiate each side.
It has two comfortable fabric carry straps and one padded shoulder strap. The base is reinforced for durability and looks good. Likewise, it is doublelayered for longevity. There are also adjustable straps with orange buckles to keep the bag contents secure when carrying. These also keep the bag flat when not in use, so you can store it without taking up much space. Then, you are ready and organised for the next adventure. All in all, it ' s a great bag for paddlers and picnickers alike!
The boxes are delivered in plastic-free and recyclable packing, and the dimensions are: Height: 30cm Lid width: 60cm Lid depth: 37cm Base width: 54cm Base depth: 33cm Empty Weight: 3kg

Waterhaul 52-litre adventure kit box https:// waterhaul. co By Jo Moseley @ jomoseley

I have been a fan of Waterhaul for several years and supported their initial crowdfunding in 2021. I admire their commitment to the environment, which has been at the heart of their social enterprise from the beginning. Run by a team of ocean lovers, marine conservationists, and surfers, Waterhaul brings adventure and purpose with practical products that look good and make a difference.
Using ghost gear( fishing gear that has been discarded, lost, or abandoned) as the raw material, they turn waste into something useful while highlighting the urgent need to care for the oceans. They make eyewear( sunglasses and optical glasses), litter pickers, and folding utility knives and have collaborated with C Monsta on the wetsuit hanger.
Their newest product is the 52-litre Adventure Kit Box, created from traceable 100 % polypropylene from recycled fishing gear. Indeed, each box has a QR code that links you to where the fishing gear was collected, sorted, shredded, and even by whom. The box I tested for review was sorted in Roche, Cornwall, by Jake, Eve, Rachel, Pete, and Philomena on 11.10.2024 – my son’ s birthday!
The green box with Waterhaul branding is stackable and nestable due to its interlocking hinged lid. How many of us have lost storage box lids over the years? With this box, this isn’ t going to happen. You have easy access whilst being secure. When you first get it, work out the interlocking system for a few moments. For paddlers, given that the box is durable and watertight, it would be useful for leashes, knives, cagoules, wetsuits, boots, gloves, maps, and beanies. It would be great for camping or van life. It fits perfectly in the garage of my van.
If you are looking for a practical box for transporting your kit in the car or van or keeping it neatly stored at home and want to make a difference to the ocean with your purchases, this would be a great choice. The box costs £ 28.00 for a single one, two for £ 53.50 and four for £ 100.00.
