Left: The impressive Laxapana made a perfect start
to the Kelengamu. Unfortunately the river directly
downstream did not live up to our hopes.

After a day of portageing we called it quits.
However, some heavy rains overnight inspired us to
return to the lower section of the river which
turned out to be a great move. It cleaned up to be
one of the best first descents of the trip.
