Next we headed north
and hopped over the border to the Loisach –
one of German’s most loved and kayaked
rivers. Setting is amazing, the Zugspitz
(Germany’s highest mountain) looms in the
distance and all the while the river cuts a path
in the valley floor through woodland.
Though the road is right next to the river you
only become aware of it just when you
paddle under the one bridge giving it a
remote feel something that is sometimes
difficult to find in the Alps except in a gorge!
It is a sweet little technical river giving you
the opportunity for various lines and perfect
place to put the art of boofing into practice.
