The Club Hero for this edition has been awarded to Phil Camp of Leigh Cricket Club. For over two years, the cricket club based at Chalkwell Park has been sponsored by Leigh based Affinity 1777 restaurant. The club has never failed to accommodate them, and their club rep, Phil Camp, has passionately encouraged members to visit and take advantage of their services. Recently, we were delighted to learn that as a result of the sponsorship, Leigh Cricket Club has not only booked a 70 head dinner, but also another social event in October.
Encouraging sponsors like this is the key to continued sponsorship and this club is certainly reaping the benefits. Phil said ‘We are honoured to be the first club to receive this award and thank SponsorPACK for helping us raise additional funds to provide great cricket opportunity for the area’ The PACK’s Diane Birch says ‘People like Phil, who make sure clubs operate in a model fashion are important to the PACK’s aims for the future, so it is with great pleasure that we grant Leigh Cricket Club this edition’s Sterling One Hundred Award’.
