As a group that strives to support local business, charities and sports, Peers’ award is being given to a local business owner who is passionate about sport and who has gone the extra mile to bring sports to their local community. This edition’s BSCC Award of £100 goes to Rayleigh based businessman, Jon Brown. As well as working as a director at J&M Recruitment Ltd, Jon has spent
the last few years putting everything he can into local athletics. After competing in various adventure obstacle courses, and running events around the world, Jon realised that there was nothing like this in the UK, so embarked on a campaign to bring cost effective, enjoyable running events to Essex. RG3 Fitness is still going strong: promoting health and fitness and offering personal training, bootcamps and studio classes with his business partner Gregg Stubbs. Jon himself runs in as many events as he can, always striving to
find ways to support local causes, and in true charitable fashion, has asked that his prize money be given to Havens Hospice, due to his involvement with the 6 in 6 Charity. Peers Networking Group are delighted to be able to thank people like Jon who tirelessly work to make the local community better. They are your local networking group, supporting local businesses, supporting local community sports.
