imagine that the IMVU imitation of society (we went through hell and high water to be part of) is a very touchy subject. We are extremely judgmental about every aspect of it, but understand it’s not to look down on anybody. A greek organization is a lifeless thing. The only life it has is what its members put into it and the high esteem in which it’s held is because of the painstaking, tedious work of the best black people (for the most part) the world has ever had to offer, over (for most of us in the D9) 100+ years, and even I , in running my chapter am careful not to do that a disservice. There is a fine line between teaching what I feel should be required knowledge before one calls himself a Kappa man, and not revealing what I know must be kept secret. It is not our intent to intimidate, but the presence hopefully calls others to step their game up.

I: Come on now! Say that! I couldn’t agree more. You are very well spoken  and I can feel your passion for Kappa in your words. I must commend you on that.

D: Yes I am definitely passionate about Kappa Alpha Psi. The name given to me by it is DediΚΑΨted

I: Suits you perfectly. You wear it well.

D: I try

I: Whats the significance of the cane you all carry?

D: Well most of what it means is secret to us but it has roots in African culture the possession of a cane was a rite of passage into manhood and to this day it's the mark of a distinguished fellow or a well rounded individual its methods of decoration vary, they all have their own secret meanings as do the colors and the length, weight and material

I: ok nice thats very interesting ty

I: One final question…Daurice our readers are dying to know…Why are the Kappa’s considered the Pretty Boys?

D: Let them gossip ;)

I: Ooohh lol I hear you. Well this has been a real pleasure. Tysvm for talking to The Originals: Divine Nine magazine. Be on the lookout for our first issue coming soon :)
