I: Alright time for some serious questions, nothing too personal lol. So tell me about your Chapter.

M: Alpha Kappa Alpha Alpha Mu Gamma was founded by me and my twin sister Jess lPinkAllurel back in January. Since then we’ve talked and reached out to women of all different backgrounds. All ladies must b 18+, AP, and must own their own name. We’ve currently started an outreach program for ladies 17 and under (RP to RL) called Pearls. They are the younger version of AKA’s. They learn about sisterhood, community service, and other things. Lol they are something else I tell you that. They are really a handful. Pearls do not pledge. They are interviewed and hand selected, although they always want to probate for us lol and give us a show. They are adorable to say the least lol and each Pearl is given a Big Sister to shadow and learn about each week. Even though they have one permanent Big Sister, we don’t want them getting attached to just one. We want them to feel loved by us all. I could talk about those little girls all day lol.

I: That is just lovely. Simply beautiful. It sounds like you guys are doing some really positive things :) I think most people know that there is a history between AKA and DST. It has led to some pretty heated situations in RL and IMVU. But at the end of the day we all are a part of the D9 community. What do you think could be done to show unity and support for one another?

M: By loving each other for who we are and not our Greek Associations. We all (D9) have the same common goals: brother/sisterhood, friendship, scholarship, and togetherness. I believe that if we looked at things that way and uplifted each other it would make our D9 Dynasty even greater as a whole, not just looked at as individuals.

I: Yes ii I agree with you completely. Divided we fall. What has been the most challenging part of your presidency?

M: Keeping our pledges in order. If you want to wear the colors, if you want the title and the “bragging rights” then you have to work for it. Nothing is handed to anyone. When you go to college they don’t just hand you a diploma, you earn it.

I: So very true ii. One final question, well actually two. What can we expect from AKA Alpha Mu Gamma in the future and please tell our readers what is the significance of the “mirror”?
