Food Brings Us Together
Food and meals are a social experience distinct to the human population. Traditionally, many families have planned at least one particular meal each day providing the opportunity for gathering together and sharing conversation about the day, plans for the future, and exchange of ideas. Regardless of the event or celebration, we as a society have combined it with eating. Food helps bring us together. Food nourishes our bodies; the togetherness nourishes our souls. The preparation of the meal also brings people together and it is often one of the traditional experiences that help bind generations together. Many of us have
porch. The planting and harvesting seasons are always a favorite here at the Stone Pear. Our residents have been enjoying husking corn, snapping beans, and frying-up green tomatoes, and nourishing body and spirit with pleasant memories together with new-found friendships.
