Rainy Day Counting
at The Tree House
By: Sara Brown
The
teachers
at The
Tree
House
work
hard to
create fun
and education
learning
experiences for our students.
One example
of this
is the
“Rainy
Day
Counting”
game
that
Miss
Lisa
and
Miss
Maura created for the Wee
School Class. In this activity,
Miss Lisa
held a
large umbrella
with rain
drops
taped to it
with different
amounts
of dots on
them. Each student picked a rain
drop and counted the dots on the
rain drop and placed it into the
corresponding
number
folder.
The students
had so
much fun
that they
didn’t
even realize that
they were
learning math skills!

St. Patrick’s Day
Poems
By: Various Authors
St. Patrick's Day is here, you see.
We'll pick some shamrocks,
one, two, three.
We'll count the leaves
and look them over,
And maybe find a
four-leafed clover.
I'll sew green buttons
on my vest,
Green for St. Patrick is the best.
I'll wear a green hat, very high,
And dance a jig--at least I'll try!
For each petal on the shamrock
This brings a wish your way Good health, good luck, and
happiness
For today and every day.
