M yBrh a a i t d y C l b ai n ee r to Peachtree Inn celebrated many birthdays in May: Sandy Gilmer, Gloria Randour, Janet Fox, Mildred Crow, and Mary Cooper. Peach pie or cherry pie topped with ice cream was served. News at the Peachtree Inn Mother’ Day s A special Mother’s Day luncheon was held on May 12, in the activity room. All were welcome to join in the celebration of mothers. Lunch was chicken salad croissants, assorted chips, fruit and cookies for dessert. It was nice reminiscing about their childhoods. Lunch Outing (Above) Marge Burkle and Tinie McElhaney enjoy the birthday celebration Some residents of the Peachtree Inn went to Eat ’N Park for lunch on Wednesday, May 28. Many enjoyed the strawberry pie for dessert. Afterwards, they went shopping at Gabriel Brothers. Vespers and Bible Study Vespers held by Pastor Joe Hamilton will now be held on the first and third Thursdays of the month in the Pepperberry Suites dining room. Reverend Kara Rowe of the First United Methodist of Chester will be holding a bible study on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month in the activity room of the Peachtree Inn. Both will be held at 10:30 a.m. All family and friends are welcome to join us. Preparations for The Big Event The eighth annual Meet Our Heroes event took place on Saturday, May 31. In preparation of our “Meet Our Heroes” event, the residents of the Peachtree Inn volunteered their time in helping with the festivities. First, the residents wrapped 300 packets of silverware. Next, they filled decorative boxes with patriotic Chex mix to be used a favors for the event. A special “thank you” goes out to all those who helped. We couldn’t do it without you ladies!!!
