Sarah Gough (96-07) Christopher Hall (02-07) was selected for a scholarship into the army and left Pocklington to go to Welbeck Sixth Form College. From there he went to the University of Birmingham to study mechanical engineering. He attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst before joining the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers where he is currently a platoon commander. He is in charge of 50 men supporting operations all around the world. He is also an ambassador to the Bloodhound SSC project, a supersonic, jet- and rocket-powered car designed to go at 1,000 mph. He runs shows around the UK to promote and showcase the project. Emma Hessay (02-12) graduated from the Executive PA Diploma course at Oxford Media and Business School with distinction in 2014 and is now working as a PA, Operations and Marketing Administrator for Town Centre Securities PLC and CitiPark in Leeds. Joe Hodgson (95-02), who adapted the James Bond Land Rovers for the film Skyfall, has moved back up to Yorkshire and set up his own specialist Land Rover servicing and repair business, JAS Landrovers, in Everingham.
