ANNU AL LOND ON BLAC K TIE DINN ER The spectacular Athenaeum Club in Pall Mall was the setting for the annual OP London black tie dinner held on Friday 23 November 2018. Over 60 OPs and guests joined club member, Darrell Buttery MBE (Former Staff 01-06, Governor), and the OP President, Trevor Loten (70-80), for the event, which marked Mark Ronan’s final OP engagement as the Headmaster of Pocklington School before his move to The King’s Hospital School in Dublin in January 2019. E U N IO N 50 YEAR R ‘6 9 CLASS OF The Northern Counties Club was the venue once again for this year’s OP Newcastle drinks, held on Tuesday 29 January 2019, arranged by Club member Nick Lumley (80-87). As one of Pocklington School’s top university destinations, the Newcastle event is always popular and well-attended, and this year was no exception with 22 guests in attendance. This year’s Leeds drinks was held on Tuesday 19 March 2019. Although the event repeated the same format as last year, there was a change of venue to Veeno in the upcoming Wellington Place business and leisure district just a stone’s throw away from the city’s railway station. 22 OPs attended. 23
