POCK 7S
PROUD RUGBY DAD!
OP Richard Ramsden (82-88) was the proudest dad on the pitch at the OP Boxing Day
rugby when he pulled on a Pocklington shirt to play alongside his son, Adam.
Adam has played at the club since he was 6 years old and despite several setbacks due to
injury, has progressed through the ranks to become a regular Colts player for the town side.
Richard also has a long association with Pocklington RUFC as both a coach and a player.
He has coached the minis and the juniors and also plays for the Pilgrims, Pocklington’s
third team side.
Richard said: “I can now officially retire from rugby after finally playing on the same pitch as
Adam; his first senior rugby match and maybe my last... or maybe not!” Watch this space!
