PENNSYLVANIA MAPLE SYRUP PRODUCERS COUNCIL 9225 Fillinger Rd., Cranesville, PA 16410, 814-324-4345, [email protected], www.pamapleassociation.org SUMMARY OF SEASON I n the southern part of the state, depend- ing on your altitude and location, some producers were cut short by warm weath- er by the end of February. Some continued with a fair to average season. It was the same with the northwest region of the state. In the north central and the northern part of Penn- OFFICERS sylvania, I think it was an average year with a fair amount of dark syrup made everywhere. The season began early to mid-January for some producers and ended by the middle to end of March for all producers, with some done by the end of February due to the warm weather.
