SUMMARY OF SEASON
O
verall, Connecticut’s 2017 season was below
average due to poor weather conditions.
Unseasonably warm weather in February, low sug-
ar content throughout most of the season and an ear-
ly spring warm up were the key depressants.
Producers who taped in early January and used
vacuum assisted tubing generally did better.
