on the same page for the event.
With the SMITE World
Championship being as big as it is, it’s
taking resources throughout the entire
company in order to make this the best
possible event. There are meetings
every day to make sure everyone
from each department are synced up
with each other and cover the needed
items for the event. The entire month
of December was especially busy
for everyone as we try to stay in line
with our products release schedule,
as well as getting the assets from
every angle of the tournament.
You never know how much
work goes into creating events to
this degree until you’re under the
development side of it. Needless to
say, we’re all extremely excited to see
all of this hard work put under lights
and see the reactions of our viewers.
I can guarantee that this will be the
most exciting time for SMITE to date.
Do you have any funny stories
about organizing these events
- one of the pros oversleeping a
match or something like that?
Actually, since you said
“oversleeping”, that reminded me
a time at the TSM Invitational. All
of the players had very early flights
they needed to catch the day after the
tournament. Taxi’s started as early as
3:00am. Mine was the last taxi to leave
the hotel which wasn’t until 9:00am.
When I woke up and finally
checked out of my hotel at
8:50am, I see Halfdevil
sitting on a bench
watching some TV
show on his phone.
Halfdevil was
suppose to
catch a taxi at
3:00am. So
I stopped
