Baby . On the Market Stage , Mystery Jets will top a very eclectic bill including Frances , Black Honey , Danny and The Champions of the World , The Dreaming Spires and Louis Berry . The Nest is taken over by Alcopop Records and Big Scary Monsters on the final night and bring you We Are The Ocean as impressive closing headliners , Gnarwolves will bring their skater punk chaos after the likes of Vant , Johnny Foreigner , Get Inuit , Yndi Halda and Ohboy ! have had their final say on Truck proceedings .
Let it never be said that Truck does not bring the biggest names for your buck in the UK ! This is just a sample from three stages at this year ’ s festival . A chinwag with The Amazons
So you ’ re playing Truck ? Yep . We ’ re all really looking forward to it . It ’ s just one of those really cool festivals that you hear about and the line-up is amazing . We ’ re a Reading band so we ’ re only from just down the road so a load of our mates would go to Truck and tell us that we ’ ve got to play there . For us the fact that it ’ s got such an amazing lineup this year is another bonus as we ’ re playing on the same stage as some pretty big names .
What can people expect ? Well , as we mentioned , we come from pretty close by so it ’ ll be like a homecoming gig for us where we give it our all . Another Reading band , Sundara Karma are playing the following day so it ’ ll be like a Reading reunion with our mates .
You ’ ve just been picked up by Fiction . How ’ s all that been ? Well it ’ s been a bit of time to be honest but they only made the announcement with our new EP in the spring as they didn ’ t want to say something and then have nothing to show for it whilst we were in the studio . It ’ s been great . We ’ ve already been doing some pretty big gigs and the festival season is looking like it ’ s going to be out of this world .
For those that might catch you at Truck but don ’ t know anything about you , who are The Amazons ? Ha ! That ’ ll be most people then ! Every band hates this question !
