Cornbury Festival:
July 8 – 10
Cornbury Festival celebrates everything quintessentially
British yet again this year, with an incredible musical lineup, glamping on offer and all the creature comforts you’d
want from a weekend in the sun at the Great Tew Park
from July 8 to 10.
All Saints, Corinne Bailey Rae and Booker T join the
Saturday bill topped by Bryan Ferry, along with purveyor
of The Power of Love Gabrielle Aplin, alt-country star
Lucinda Williams and dreamy songsters Turin Brakes.

Riverside Festival:
July 23 – 24
Going from strength to strength and loved by all who
attended last year, Riverside has become a major fixture
in Oxfordshire’s music calendar with more than 30 acts
playing across three stages. Despite the cost of putting on
an event of this size, it is entirely free to enter and that is
down to the astonishing community effort that goes into
staging the festival.
Acts featuring this year include The Dreaming Spires,
Leader, Alphabet Backwards, Neverlnd, Dubwiser, Zurich,
Les Clochards, Lowws, Might Redox, Calling Stanley and
more.
If you’ve not been involved in Charlbury’s Riverside
Festival before, be part of it this year. Not only is it

good fun, but it’s also a great way to meet like-minded
people and enjoy the best summer party around. Before
the Festival, the team of volunteers select acts, book
stallholders, order supplies, organise publicity and
arrange children’s activities.
Then for the weekend itself volunteers are needed to
assemble stages, set up sound systems and erect fencing,
marquees and stalls; pull pints and pour Pimm’s; sell
programmes and T-shirts, help with the recycling, run the
kids section and generally keep the festival-goers happy.
