It’s April! April’s a funny month. One minute you get bright sunshine and the next you seem to be plunged into deepest winter. It’s never consistent. For the really organised people out there you’ll leave the house carrying an umbrella and winter clothing as well as sunglasses and suncream. And if there’s one group of men who I will never get my head around it’s those sporty types who seem to be immediately wearing shorts and T-shirts as soon as you get one glint of sunlight. Who are these people? How do they know? Do they work at the met office? Do they have Michael Fish on speed dial? But there’s nothing more pleasurable than watching these men, who look like they’ve just stepped out of the set of Home and Away, getting drenched in one of April’s many sudden downpours. It’s at that point that I thank the weather gods for the memories. Anyway, if you really want consistency you could do no better than sticking with The Ocelot. Month in month out we’re your invaluable guide to theatre, music and a whole load of other shenanigans going on in your neck of the woods. And we hardly ever have unexpected showers (well unless you count that one time in North Wales).
