The most recent inventions and improvements made to our society have revolutionized the life of U.S citizens. These new inventions and new ideas have made our economy flourish, improving production of trade, easier shipment an have all around changed the life style of those living in our nation.
Although, the changes have revolutionized our economy and lifestyle these changes in industry have affected many aspects of life such as the social structure of today’s class system. People who are able to contribute to the economy and provide their families with luxurious new inventions have been social ranked higher than the less modern citizen who does not contribute to the craze for new inventions. These inventions make life simpler and are becoming necessities in the minds of the average American citizen.
For example the sewing machine, a fast and easy way for people to make clothes and cloth, this machine was once only apart of a factory and now has been created just so that the average American family can own one in their home, not only does buying a machine make a person feel like they are modern and keeping up with the times it allows for people to believe that they are apart of the great improvement to the U.S economy, this gives a positive light on anyone who purchases items like the sewing machine which ultimately makes someone more accepted in society and ranked socially as someone of higher status or wealth.
With times changing, not only do government change, economy change and technology change but the typical and traditional lifestyles of people in our nation are changing as well. All aspects of life affect one another and the invention of a simple household sewing machine may seem like only a step in one direction for the economy but it is also a part in how lifestyles and actions of people are changing to fit society and conform to the new ideas and social structures.
People who contribute to the economy and become more modernized with the changing times have a more important role in our nation. Contributing to the growth of not only the economy, but helping the nation to step forward in becoming an industrialized nation a citizen who is able to afford the latest and greatest inventions is thought of as someone who is higher class and who has a higher social status or ranking.
