Chinese New Year Diwali FESTIVITY Harvest encourages unity. Thus, students are given exposure to culture differences through different festivals celebrated by different culture. To begin, we celebrated Chinese New Year in February. Students decorated their classes for the festival. Since 2017 is the year of chicken, all classes highlighted chicken as the theme for the decoration. Hari Raya Aidilfitri June 2017, Hari Raya or Eidul Fitri was celebrated where teachers brought some of their favourite traditional dishes to share with the students, together with the raya cookies. Students got the chance to taste the scrumptious feast that is usually served during Eid. October on the other hand, the students were given an opportunity to learn about Indian tradition, ‘kolam’, an artistic decoration that is usually done during celebrations like Diwali.
