RESOLVED : That this Association hereby requests that the Attorney General of the State of New Jersey cause to be prepared a manual of the proper procedure to be followed in the arrest and prosecution of persons violating the provisions of Title 39 of the Revised statutes as amended and supplemented , and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED : That a copy of such manual be distributed to all police officers throughout the State .

1980 The Association formally adopted the policy that no application for Active Membership in the NJSACOP will be acted upon without the endorsement of the relevant County Police Chiefs Association .
2002 Executive Director Sklar announced that the Association had launched an internet homepage , to be found at www . njsacop . org .
2003 Executive Director Sklar informed the membership that the NJSACOP Law Enforcement Agency Accreditation Program was now operational , and the information would be disseminated to all law enforcement agencies in the State .
2007 It was announced that the election taking place later in the year would be the last for the position of NJSACOP 5th Vice President ; in subsequent years , a new Board position — Vice President at Large — would replace the position of 5th Vice President .
2021 Dr . Lew Schlosser was introduced as the first official NJSACOP Chief Psychologist .

For this month , and throughout the year , the New Jersey Department of Children and Families urges all citizens to remain vigilant and , when needed , reach out for help .
