The Summer months are traditionally a slow time in regards to our Association’ s programming calendar( on the other hand, our public affairs, and legal aid and arbitration efforts continue unabated regardless of season). However, before you know it, Autumn will be upon us, and with it comes not only cooler days and changing foliage, but also an incredibly full schedule of events for the Association.
Once Autumn arrives, we start, as usual, on the first Thursday of the month( September 4 th) with our monthly State Chiefs Briefing, to be held as always at the Tinton Falls-Eatontown Doubletree Hotel. Our Contemporary Issues in Police Administration program will be conducted September 15-19, 2025, at the National Conference Center / Holiday Inn in East Windsor. Also scheduled for September are our Front Line Supervision Program( September 15-18, Middlesex Co. Police Academy), Advanced Internal Affairs Investigation Program( September 17-19, Monmouth County Sheriff ' s Office), Meaningful Reviews and Use of Force Investigations for Supervisors( September 23, Middlesex Co. Fire Academy), and OPRA and Records Management for Law Enforcement Supervisors, Officers and Clerks( September 25 & 26, Middlesex Co. Fire Academy).
The October State Chiefs Briefing will be on Thursday, October 2 nd. Our Case Law & Liability for Supervisors is scheduled for October 3 at the Middlesex County Fire Academy, October 20 at the Monmouth County Police Academy, and October 27, at the Cape May County Police Academy. The Front Line Supervision Program will be conducted October 14-17 at the Bergen County Police Academy and October 27-30 at the South Jersey Technology Park @ Rowan University. Our Budgeting and Financial Administration for the Police Executive will be held October 15 at the Burlington County EMS Training Center and October 28 at the Middlesex County Fire Academy. The Pre-Employment Background Investigations for NJ Police Departments will be conducted October 29 & 30 at the Middlesex Co. Fire Academy, and the Advanced Internal Affairs Investigation Program will be October 29-31, at the Gloucester County Police Academy. The 2025 NJSACOP Foundation for Executive Leadership will be held October 27-30, at the Tinton Falls-Eatontown Doubletree Hotel.
On Friday, October 31 st through Sunday, November 2 nd we will be presenting the next installment in our Staff Ride for Law Enforcement series. This year we will be traveling to western Maryland, utilizing the battlefields and other locations associated with the Battle of Antietam as our living classrooms.
The November State Chiefs Briefing will be Thursday, November 6 th. We will be conducting another session of the Meaningful Reviews and Use of Force Investigations for Supervisors on November 6 at the Passaic Co. Police Academy. On November 10 th we will be presenting the inaugural session of the Chiefs-only NJSACOP Critical Issues Symposium for Chiefs of Police at the Sheraton Hotel in Eatontown. Also on the calendar for November: Case Law & Liability for Supervisors( November 17, Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute); Front Line Supervision Program( November 17-20, Monmouth County Sheriff ' s Office); Budgeting and Financial Administration for the Police Executive( November 18 at the Morris County Public Safety Academy); OPRA and Records Management for Law Enforcement Supervisors, Officers and Clerks( November 18 & 19, Middlesex Co. Fire Academy); and Advanced Internal Affairs Investigation Program( November 19-21, Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute).
As usual, we will be conducting our annual NJSACOP Winter One-Day Conference on Thursday, December 4 th at the Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch. The final 2025 session of the Case Law & Liability for Supervisors program will be December 8, at the Gloucester County Police Academy. The month( and year) closes out with the 2025 NJSACOP Professional Policing Practices Program( conducted in London, England) from Sunday, December 6 through Sunday, December 14.
