It is through our valued partners in law enforcement , as well as all our social service system partners--individually and collectively--that we can eradicate child maltreatment , support victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and help to build youth and family resilience--- not just during challenging times , but every single day . Below are some helpful resources to keep on hand :
Child Abuse Hotline : Anyone with reasonable suspicion of child abuse or neglect , must report it by calling the State Central Registry Child Abuse Hotline at 1-877-NJ ABUSE ( 1-877-652-2873 ).
Children ’ s System of Care : The Children ' s System of Care offers a wide range of services for children up to age 21 for behavioral health or developmental disability needs as well as substance use treatment services . These services include community-based services , in-home services , out-of-home residential services , and family support services . For questions about -- or to access -- behavioral health , developmental disability services , or substance use treatment for children and youth , call the 24-hour , toll-free Access Line at : 1-877-652-7624 .
Domestic Violence Hotline : To report domestic or sexual assault , please call the Statewide Domestic Violence Hotline : 1-800-572-SAFE ( 7233 ).
Sexual Violence Programs : To locate a local sexual violence program , contact the NJ Coalition Against Sexual Assault at 1-800-601-7200 . Family Success Centers : Family Success Centers are “ one-stop ” shops that provide wrap-around resources and supports for families before they find themselves in crisis . Family Success Centers offer primary child abuse prevention services to families and bring together concerned community residents , leaders , and community agencies to address the problems that threaten the safety and stability of families and the community . There is no cost to access services provided by Family Success Centers . The FSC ’ s are available in every county in New Jersey . Free publications made available through NJ Department of Children and Families : To further support DV awareness and prevention efforts , our department also makes available free publications .

Publications are also downloadable , so they can be previewed .
· The “ What to Do When You Care ” brochure contains information for people who are in a support role or who know someone who may be a victim of domestic violence .
· The “ Finding Safety and Support ” brochure is for the victim herself .
· The “ Domestic Violence Palm Card ” contains guidance on how to seek help , temporary restraining orders , hotline information and more . These handy palm cards can be discreetly concealed .
· The “ Domestic Violence Hotline Poster ” is an 8½ X 11 flyer with the DV Hotline number .
