The “Modern Warriors: A Study in Survival”, is being
presented by Richard Norcross. He is a retired Haddon
Heights (Camden County, NJ) Police Officer who was shot
during the service of a search warrant. During this incident
Richard’s younger brother, also a Haddon Heights Police
Officer and his friend, an investigator with the Camden
County Prosecutor’s Office were also shot & killed. Richard
was wounded five times and was on life support for four
days. Richard will discuss the events that changed his life
forever. He will discuss the ways he prepared himself to
survive: mindset, training, and physical fitness. Richard’s
mission is to take his experiences and teach other officers
some
basic,
instinctive
survival
skills.
