Detective Chief Inspector David Annets [Ret.] Dave Annets is the Director for Leadership Lessons Limited [www.leadershiplessons.co.uk], delivering bespoke leadership training, consulting, coaching and mentoring to organizations and individuals within the public and private sector. Previously, he served as the International Director for the double Queen's Award winning TAP Training Accreditation Programme for L&D Professionals, and the Global Director of the Policing Sector. DCI Annets has recently retired from Hampshire Constabulary [UK] in the rank of Detective Chief Inspector, and has extensive International Relations experience within the context of European Police cooperation and leadership training. In his later years in policing, DCI Annets was an International Policing Advisor at the UK’s College of Policing, and remains an Associate Tutor within the International Academy. Supported by an extensive background in Criminal Investigations, Public Protection, Anti-Money laundering, Protective Services and Counter-terrorism at strategic / operational levels, DCI Annets has worked closely with partners in the Home Office, National Co-ordinator of Ports Policing and Special Branch, and other Security Services, in building capacity, capability, resilience and inter -operability within Protective Services structures, including Counter-terrorism, locally, nationally and internationally. In his role as UK’s National Contact Point for the European Police College (CEPOL), DCI Annets was the Course Director for Strategic and Operational Counter-terrorism training for Chiefs of Police and Ministers of Interior from 28 EU Member States. He has delivered senior leadership training for Executive, Business, and Professional Policing Skills for the College of Policing Senior Leadership Programmes in the UK, and Senior Leadership training in the Eastern Caribbean (on behalf of the Department for International Development [DfID]); in Qatar at the Police Training Institute; in the USA (on behalf of the New Jersey States Association of Chiefs of Police NJSACOP), in New Zealand (on behalf of the New Zealand, Australia and UK governments for Chiefs of Police from the Pacific Islands); and the Royale Gendarmerie of Morocco in Casablanca. In his role as an Associate of the International Academy of the College of Policing, DCI Annets is regularly deployed overseas to deliver senior leadership training, perform training needs analysis, or leadership consultancy. DCI Annets is an Honorary Member of New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police. Captain James Ryan James Ryan is a Deputy Chief with the South Brunswick Police Department. He has served as public information officer for 16 years. In that capacity, Deputy Chief Ryan has appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox affiliates in New York and Philadelphia. He has also worked with the Today Show and Fox News on law enforcement topics. Captain Ryan holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice, and is a graduate of both the FBI National Academy and the NJSACOP Command & Leadership Academy. Deputy Chief Ryan is an adjunct college professor and an Instructor for the NJSACOP. 9
