A Message from Police Scotland
Scottish Police College - Tulliallan acts as both Police Scotland ’ s Corporate Headquarters and one of it ’ s key training venues . Whilst Tulliallan is just one of Police Scotland ’ s training sites , its historical significance to training police officers and staff in Scotland cannot be underestimated . Set in 90 acres of parkland in the centre of Scotland , with the early 19th century Tulliallan Castle at its heart , it is the United Kingdom ’ s only central Police College providing all police training elements in one establishment . Since opening for police training in 1954 , Tulliallan has also been Scotland ’ s central recruit training base for over 50 years .
We deliver training in many different ways :
• Classroom based teaching .
• Lectures and conferences .
• Immersive ‘ Hydra ’ suite learning .
• E-learning .
• Practical and Situational training . All of our courses and programmes are subject to the Police Scotland National Framework for Quality Assurance in Training and Education . Many are also accredited through academic partners , the Scottish Qualifications Authority ( SQA ) or are credit rated on the Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework ( SCQF ).
International Training
Police Scotland also works in partnership with other police forces , law enforcement agencies , government bodies and educational establishments
