NJSACOP LEAP-PSAP will be hosting a “ Workshop featuring their new Program for Emergency Communications Centers ( PSAP ) and AG Guidelines Impacting the Accreditation Programs ” during the NJSACOP 35 th Anniversary Police Security Expo 2021 .
The Public Safety Answering Point ( PSAP ) is the first Emergency Communications Center granted accredited status under the NJSACOP Law Enforcement Accreditation Program . The Public Safety Communications Center Program is purposefully designed to enhance the professionalism and transparency of this critical element of the state ' s public safety system .
AG Guidelines will impact the Accreditation Programs . Agencies will have to review and update policies with practices covered in various standards such as search and seizure , juvenile procedures , use of force , vehicle pursuit , etc . The sessions will cover the new standards affected .
This workshop is uniquely designed to conveniently offer direct access to accreditation experts and bring the resources of NJSACOP LEAP-PSAP to them and their agencies . Attendees will have an opportunity to join and engage the subject matter experts to answer questions , and discussion about these issues and other topics .

NJSACOP LEAP – PSAP at IACP Honored to be a presenter at the 2021 IACP Conference , panel titled , Risk Management : Agency Accreditation and Officer Decertification . My topic will be “ State Law Enforcement Accreditation ”. Credit to the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police outstanding Law Enforcement Accreditation Programs and the hundreds of law enforcement agencies in New Jersey that have made this commitment to excellence in policing .
