Conducted Energy Device Instructor Training on Attorney General’s Revised USE OF FORCE POLICY Who Should Attend: CED INSTRUCTORS. This includes all Countywide Instructors and Agency Requalification Instructors who last attended this course in 2018 OR who are in the process of becoming CED Instructors. Those who attended the course in 2019 will next attend in 2021 in order to maintain their certification as CED Instructors. Attendance at this course is required every other year for CED Instructors. Description: Participants will attend a half-day training session on the Attorney General’s Revised Conducted Energy Device (CED) Use of Force Policy, with emphasis on CED Directive 2016-3. Attendance is MANDATORY for CED Instructors to instruct new CED Operators and/or requalify existing CED Operators. Note that an officer may only be a CED Instructor with the approval and designation of the County Prosecutor’s Office or State Police Superintendent.
