people can emulate him, it
would be nice”. He opined that

Another Nigerian, a barrister of
Law, Mr. Ewuzie Henry who
also witnessed the event
expressed his appreciation for
Mr. Okolie's works. “I want to
support what he is doing

have the money but we have
the knowledge”.

who is also an active
participant in the food
distribution process revealed
that the Nigerian philanthropist
has done a lot for him by
teaching him about God and
how to touch people. “He
teaches me about God and he
teaches me how to touch other
people”.

We live in a global world with
a global economy. It comes as
no surprise then to find many
South Africans working and
conducting business in
Nigeria as well as many
Nigerians in South Africa
conducting business in South
Africa.
The Business Permit
This article deals with the legal
aspects relating to Nigerian
businessmen looking to
establish business in South
Africa, specifically the
business permit. The business
permit is a form of permit
issued by home affairs. It
differs in many ways from
work permits not only its
requirements but also in its
scope. For one, while someone
on a work permit may take 5
years to be eligible to apply for
permanent residence someone
on a business permit may
make an immediate
application.
Strictly speaking the
requirements of any permit are
subject to occasional change at
the behest of the Department
of Home Affairs. The
following is not a full list of
requirements for the permit
but a general overview. There
