“The colors came back, sweetheart. They came back!”

Grandmother exclaimed.

I could see tears in her eyes, and know she was on the verge of

weeping for joy. I gave her a big hug, and then let her be. Seeing all

these colors was a bit disorienting. My eyes weren’t use to it, but they

would eventually adapt. People adapted to life without color, and

people would adapt to life with color. I let out a loud whoop of delight

because I have a feeling that this day would be known as the Day the

Colors Came to Stay. I’m not sure why the colors came back, but I feel

like my pursuit of colors and other magical things had a hand in bring

him back.
