“The colors came back, sweetheart. They came back!”
Grandmother exclaimed.
I could see tears in her eyes, and know she was on the verge of
weeping for joy. I gave her a big hug, and then let her be. Seeing all
these colors was a bit disorienting. My eyes weren’t use to it, but they
would eventually adapt. People adapted to life without color, and
people would adapt to life with color. I let out a loud whoop of delight
because I have a feeling that this day would be known as the Day the
Colors Came to Stay. I’m not sure why the colors came back, but I feel
like my pursuit of colors and other magical things had a hand in bring
him back.
