Book Review
I have recently read the classic novella, Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck. I highly recommend this phenomenal read, as it tells the story of true friendship at its highest and lowest points. The true definition of friendship is constantly being defined and perfected as the indestructible friendship of our two protagonists, George and Lennie, are put to the test. George and Lennie are traveling ranch workers that are constantly switching ranches due to a variety of issues. Even though the ranches that they work on are constantly changing, there is one thing that will never change between these two, their shared dream. In an ever-changing story, this commonality allows the reader to cling to something throughout the entire read. However, the controversial ending has been debated year after year without a clear answer of if what occurred happened for better or worse. Although this might seem to be a disadvantage to the reader, in actuality, it allows the reader to form his or her own opinion about the ending. Overall this was a fantastic read that could be read by anyone anywhere, and the same message of friendship will still prevail. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is in need of a good read and even a life lesson.
