The Brown Boxer Pub & Grille Is Covering All the Bases With Three Pinellas County Locations.
TWO, FOUR, SIX, EIGHT...At The Brown Boxer Pub and Grille…could be the start of a cheer for a team playing on one of the 38 TV’s scattered around the spacious bistro…or it could be counting the number of dogs that frequent the pup-friendly decks. Fans of The Brown Boxer lay claim to one or more of the following stats: love live music seven days a week; enjoy dining with their dog; can’t get enough sports; tolerant of billiards and darts; appreciate yummy food; or just take pleasure in being able to order any bar drink you can imagine at their daily Happy Hour. The deck features live music, but is also home to an open-air bar. Those preferring indoor imbibing will also be rewarded with a bar, game room and a separate dining area. It doesn’t matter what your sports preference is—you’ll be near several big screens—and the Brown Boxer subscribes to all the major packages including Center Ice, Extra Innings, NFL Sunday Ticket and more. Menu choices are as abundant as the number of games you can watch. And just like you have a favorite team, there are go-to favorites to select from. My family went with some traditional game grub, starting with a few delicious appetizers. Nachos piled high with colorful toppings including chili, cheese, veggies, and jalapeños topped off with a dollop of sour cream. Then on to some fried Grouper Nuggets and Portobello Mushrooms—both hand-breaded, lightly fried and served with appropriate dipping sauces of course. Score! We rounded out our feast with Stone Crab Soup and Oriental Salad. The soup was creamy and full of nice extras like fresh corn, potatoes and celery. Champagne Dressing made the salad of greens, oranges, and almonds a home run. And after seeing plate after plate of Sweet Potato Fries being delivered to guests around us, we had to find some room to try them. Good choice—perfectly seasoned with brown sugar and served with honey. What could be sweeter?
