Palm Beach is the home to some of the most beautiful pets - year round, seasonally and on holiday. The Worth Avenue Pet Parade celebrated its 20th anniversary with entries including Peggy Tzu’s, an on-site diner, an aquarium of Chihuafish, and an array of costumes to astound. “These dogs are not spoiled, they just have their owners very well-trained,” stated Sherry Frankel, mistress of ceremonies. More than seventy entrants competed by size, judged in palm beach natural beauty, personality, obedience, and for costume creativity. Contestants hailed from as far away as Winter Park, Chicago, and even (oh!) Canada. Serving as judges were author Paulette Cooper Noble, Mayor of Palm Beach Gail Coniglio, JoJo Harder, Wayne King and couture designer Lon Sabella. “We are blessed by generous participation of merchants and restaurants of Worth Avenue,” Ms. Frankel added. “We always wonder, how last years entries will be toppped, and the creativity always shines through.” Nearly $1000 was raised, benefiting Big Dog Ranch Rescue and TriCounty Humane Society. 2) 3) 1) 1) Nanette DeRondo and Valerie Hurley with their Imperial Shih Tzus, Jasmine and Layla were Peggy Tzu’s Diner. 2) Miranda, Ozzie the Yorkie, and Bianca Matthews performed, as The DreamGirls. 3) Ashley from Pucci & Catana puts The New Barker into the prize bags. 4) Marie Antoinette (aka Lois Weiss) and her companion Daphne bribed the judges, with what else?
