With camera in-hand and baby in-tow, Heidi still manages to keep us pup-to-date on NE Florida yappenings. 2. PAM STUART, MONTY & PETE Nothing makes this trio happier than to be competing in agility. Pam’s story about Bart, a three-legged Vizsla working with Jacksonville’s Wounded Warrior Project (page 66) is truly an inspiration for any dog lover. 3. HEATHER SCHULMAN & PUCK When she isn’t working as a meeting planner, creatively designing beautiful weddings, you’ll either find Heather catching a baseball game, or catching fish. It’s quite possible her tacklebox of lures rivals her shoe collection. She is one of our Florida rover reporters/photographers and does research for The New Barker. 4. TINA VALANT, CHLOE & DRU Our go-to photographer and animal advocate in South Florida, Tina is well-connected in all things dog. She works as a professional photographer. An animal lover first and foremost though, if you see a woman jumping out of her car in a mall parking lot to save a gecko from being run over, that would be Tina. 5. LON MARTIN, GUINNESS & ROO When Guinness unfurls his Super Hero cape, no telling what he and fellow Corgi Roo will discover. Read more about life and other observations, from a dog’s perspective, on page 92. 6. CHRISTIE ZIZO & LULU While living and working in Orlando, these two enjoy checking out dog-friendly hangouts and events. Her story on Beagles in labs is, shall we say, eye-opening? 7. JILLYN SIDLO & ROCKIE She’s been successfully building her business as a pet sitter, dog walker, trainer and show dog handler over the last seven years. Once again, she covered the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show for us (page 30). And, New York City is still recovering from the visit by the girl also known as RottiGirl. 8. DEBBIE TURNER & LARGO She credits Largo, who discovered Debbie’s oral cancer, for saving her life. Debbie now volunteers with Schnauzer Love Rescue. LUCY TOBIAS & OBI An award-winning reporter with the New York Times regional group in Florida for 23 years, Lucy and Obi now enjoy traveling the state together looking for dog-friendly fun and adventure. 10. LAURA ALLEN & LUCY As a professional photographer, Laura stays busy during the week. She enjoys doing portraits of families on the beach. During the weekend, you may find her donating her time for the SPCA Tampa Bay and other causes close to her heart. It is her work for Mastro Subaru that is featured on page 48. 11. JACQUI SILLA & SIERRA Her work as a commercial photographer may have her flying between Florida, New York and the Carolinas. Her first love is helping people work with their dogs’ behavioral issues. Jacqui is one of our Tampa Bay Area rover reporters and photographers. 12. DANETTE MORSE, MYLES, & KOBE The energy professional pet photographer Danette brings to a photoshoot is very relaxing for the animals, capturing the pet in a natural state of mind.
