MVHA Past President Candace Bowers shares a small piece of the historic “Witness Tree” that once grew near the corner of Grant Road and Cuesta Drive. The Witness Tree was a wild cherry tree that grew on land owned by Benjamin Bubb. It was used by the US Government in an 1865 land survey and was a marker by which early settlers of Mountain View located their land.
