Andrew Dittberner
Andrew joined Cannon Asset Managers in January 2007 after an 18 month stint
as an Associate Lecturer at Wits. He lectured Econometrics and Microeconomics
at the 2nd year level. Andrew graduated with a MCom in Economic Science
from Wits in 2009, for which he was awarded the Economic Research Southern
Africa prize for Masters in Economics. He is currently completing his third year
of his PhD where he is researching fundamental momentum within company
earnings. He also holds a BEconSci (Hons), and is a member of the Investment
Analysts Society.

Over the course of having been employed at Cannon, Andrew’s responsibilities

number of offshore and domestic portfolios across different asset classes.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and Post-Graduate Diploma in
Finance, Banking and Investment Management. After completing his postgraduate studies, Andrew joined Investec Asset Management, initially involved
with client services to look after direct client and financial advisor business,
before moving into an advisory and consulting role with Investec’s direct clients.

Insights from the
SuperDogs portfolio
In 2004 Andrew joined Cannon Asset Managers in Johannesburg as head of
group new business. In this position Andrew is responsible for the development
of Cannon’s relationships with institutional clients, high net worth individuals
and family offices, and specialised financial advisors.
As a part-time runner, Andrew has completed four Comrades marathons, using
the events to raise funds for HIV-AIDS orphans.
