club around the end of 1908. It is concise statement of hulme’s influential
advocacy of free verse. The lecture was not published during hulme’s life
time. Walter Walt Whitman was an American poet, essayist and journalist.
Whitman is among the most influential poets in the American cannon often
called the father of free verse. Whitman was called the father of free verse
because his work breaks the boundaries of poetic form and is generally
prose-like.
Many writers began writing in a style called stream of consciousness. What
is stream of consciousness and why did they start writing in that style? Well,
stream of consciousness is a creative strategy that many others use in their
works. Stream of consciousness generally includes character jumping from
one observation, sensation, or reflection to the next. Stream of consciousness
often amounts the reporting non-sequential or fragmented though patterns. A
