Health and Hope Transforms Lives . We Have Seen Miracles the Last 20 Years .
Victory Health Partners is a 501 ( c )( 3 ) faith-based nonprofit healthcare practice . The practice was opened in 2003 by Dr . and Mrs . Robert Lightfoot after serving abroad on several medical mission trips . Throughout their trips , their desire to serve within their own community was realized , and they began meeting with the key leaders in Mobile ’ s medical community to determine the gaps facing our community . Prior to Victory , the low income and uninsured either delayed receiving treatment or relied on emergency rooms for their primary care .
Victory ’ s patients are low to moderate income adults ages 19 to 64 who are unable to afford private insurance , government funded insurance and do not receive health coverage through their employer . In 2020 , Victory had over 10,000 patient encounters from low to moderate income , uninsured adults . Victory has grown to serve over 35,000 patients . Victory serves the Gulf Coast with patients from 25 counties in Alabama , 11 in Mississippi , and 8 in Florida annually . All of Victory ’ s patients have a gross income of 400 % the Federal Poverty Guidelines and many patients suffer from chronic health problems such as diabetes , COPD , high blood pressure and heart disease . Victory provides high-quality healthcare to all patients , regardless of race , religion or background . Patients span from many different industries including hospitality , service , construction , small business , arts and many who can only obtain part-time employment .
In addition to primary medical care , Victory offers dental , smoking cessation , optometry , medication dispensary , neurology , pulmonary , counseling , urology , wound care clinic , women ’ s wellness , MRIs , minor surgeries , diabetes and sleep apnea education . Victory has a network of over 150 partner specialists who will examine and treat in their own offices for an affordable fee . Specialty partnerships range from cardiology , chiropractic , orthopaedic , oncology , podiatry , dermatology and more . These partnerships provide the next step of healthcare for our patients that was previously too expensive . In 2021 , Victory dispensed over $ 60 million worth of free prescription medications to our patients . Partnerships also include the donation or cost reduction of diagnostic exams like MRI scans , CAT scans and other exams to make necessary diagnosis for our patients .
The Dispensary Program enables Victory patients to receive all or most of their medications at no charge . Due to the arduous process of enrollment into the pharmaceutical companies ’ patient assistance programs , Victory staff and volunteers enroll Victory patients into these programs on their behalf . Victory continues to provide medication and laboratory work for patients who are positive for Hepatitis C . The 150 patients who have completed the treatment have all been cured of their Hepatitis C . The cost of the medication and treatment is over $ 70,000 per patient . So far , Victory provided over $ 60 million worth of free medication to patients through our Medication Assistance Program .

Patient Surgical Assistance Fund : Victory is thrilled to announce the creation of the William M . Lightfoot , M . D . Patient Surgical Assistance Fund . This fund , named in memory of Dr . William Lightfoot who served as Victory ’ s first partner and volunteer surgeon , will provide necessary surgeries to move patients forward in their lives . Surgeries to allow patients to return to work , care for their families and restore their future .
